Temporary closure and detour planned on I-20/59 in Meridian beginning March 1

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) announces the temporary closure and detour planned on I-20/59 in Meridian beginning March 1. The closure and detour will be in place from 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, through 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 2. This will affect the I-20/59 eastbound at 49th Ave. in Meridian. Crews will repair the 49th Ave. bridge over I-20/59 eastbound.

I-20/59 eastbound traffic will be detoured around the construction zone using the 49th Ave. entrance and exit ramps. In addition, the southbound side of 49th Ave. will be closed while northbound traffic will be redirected to the I-20/59 eastbound on-ramp.
