Soul City Solar is now accepting applications for its Spring 2026 Community Grant Cycle, a seasonal funding opportunity designed to support educators, public service organizations, and nonprofits working to strengthen communities throughout Hinds County. Grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 will be awarded.

Who Should Apply

Eligible applicants include nonprofits, school districts, and public service organizations in Hinds County whose work supports one or more of the following focus areas:

• Promoting education
• Environmental sustainability
• Safe and healthy communities
• Economic development

Interested organizations can visit www.soulcitysolarpower.com to review grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, and frequently asked questions. Applications must be submitted by April 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST.

Since May 2024, the program has awarded more than $250,000 to organizations in Hinds County. Soul City Solar encourages organizations working to create positive community impact to apply and share how their work helps strengthen Hinds County communities.
