In observance of National Hospice Month, Singing River Hospice of Light (HOL) will host remembrance ceremonies at Pascagoula Hospital and Singing River Gulfport to honor loved ones lost over the past year. HOL extends an invitation to the families and friends of former patients to participate in a special remembrance ceremony by planting live trees. The mission of Hospice of Light is to provide dignified, expert end-of-life care and guidance to patients and families. HOL is able to accomplish hospice outside of a hospital setting by providing additional support and clinical care. Services provided include in-home, GIP (general inpatient care), respite, and continuous care.

HOL is also recognized and specially trained to provide quality end-of-life care to veterans. Through a comprehensive assessment and implementation process, the staff gains insights into specific traumas and associated health risks, enabling them to tailor care for veterans and locate additional resources.
