At approximately 9:00 PM on Sunday June 2, 2024, the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department was notified about gunshots at a residence in the 200 block of Circle Drive East in Brandon, Mississippi.
Rankin County Deputies along with Robinhood Fire Department and Pafford Ambulance Service responded to the area.
Once on location deputies located a 36 year old male who was deceased of apparent gunshot wounds. The second gunshot victim, a female, was located at a business not far from the residence, she was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
The name of the deceased victim will be released by Rankin County Coroner David Ruth once his next of kin have been notified.
The suspected shooter was taken into custody at the scene. The suspect is identified as Seth Tyler WILDER and has been booked in the Rankin County Jail on the Charge of Murder. Bond has been set at one million dollars.
District Attorney Bubba Bramlett will bring Seth Tyler WILDER before Rankin County Court Judge David Morrow for an Initial Appearance.
