Clinton, MS. Next Step Innovations (NSI) is pleased to announce that it has secured a position on the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) highly competitive Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) multiple-award contract vehicle, which carries a maximum ceiling of $151 billion.
The SHIELD contract is a key procurement vehicle designed to accelerate the delivery of advanced missile defense technologies and capabilities with increased speed, agility, and innovation. As part of this broad, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, NSI is positioned to compete for task orders across a wide range of work areas that support national defense priorities.
SHIELD represents one of the primary acquisition mechanisms underpinning the Golden Dome initiative, an ambitious, multi-layered homeland defense strategy aimed at enhancing the United States’ ability to detect, track, and defend against emerging missile and aerial threats.
“We are honored to be selected as a SHIELD contract awardee,” said Trent Townsen, CEO of Next Step Innovations. “This opportunity enhances our ability to deliver innovative solutions that strengthen national security and support the warfighter.”
NSI looks forward to contributing its expertise to support MDA’s mission and advancing capabilities that address evolving defense challenges.
