On April 15th, New Stage Theatre presented an in-school performance of A Year with Frog and Toad at Mannsdale Elementary School in Madison as part of the New Stage Theatre Arts-in-Education statewide touring program. A Year with Frog and Toad was presented for 600 students from Kindergarten to 2nd grade at 8:00 AM and 10:10 AM.

This charming musical A Year with Frog and Toad follows the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons. Waking from hibernation in the spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, part make-believe… all charm! The jazzy, upbeat score of A Year with Frog and Toad bubbles with melody and wit, making it an inventive, exuberant, and enchanting musical, perfect for introducing theatre to youngsters while keeping adults entertained, as well.

Directed & Choreographed by Xerron Mingo, Education Director at New Stage, A Year with Frog and Toad is performed by New Stage’s Professional Associate Artist Company members Keith Allen Davis Jr, Cameron Vipperman, Tatiana Grace, Ashlyn Pinkerton and Jacob Heuer.
