The Mississippi Young Republicans have elected Hunter Estes as the new chair of the organization alongside a new leadership team.

Estes previously served as the Communications Director for Governor Tate Reeves and as the Senior Director of Policy and Communications for the Mississippi Center for Public Policy, a conservative think tank based in Jackson.

“I’m honored to have been elected and look forward to growing this organization and helping to elect more Republican leaders across Mississippi,” said Estes. “Republican leadership has fundamentally transformed our state for the better. Our school performance is skyrocketing; we’ve had historic economic development; and we’ve defended both our culture and the truth. We’ll do everything we can to help continue that success.”

Additionally, the organization elected Kye Webb as Vice Chair, Anika Page as National Committeewoman, and Stone Clanton as National Committeeman.

“We have a fantastic team here, and we’re ready to welcome every young Mississippian who wants to be involved in politics and shaping the future of our great state,” said Estes.

The Young Republicans is a national organization that mobilizes young people in Republican politics and helps support the election of Republican leaders across the country. The Mississippi Young Republicans will be working to expand their network, host events across the state, and rally young people as the state prepares for the 2027 elections.
