At Millsaps, building meaningful relationships with alumni and supporters is a constant priority. As part of that commitment, Chandler Parker MacDonald has been promoted to Major Gifts Officer in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
Her new role will help create opportunities for engagement, philanthropy and impact across the Millsaps community.
Chandler is a Millsaps alumna and received her BBA in 2014 and her MBA in 2015. She brings more than a decade of advancement experience to the position, including leadership roles at Millsaps, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, Fort Bend Christian Academy, and Vanderbilt University.
Her background includes donor portfolio strategy, annual and major giving, volunteer engagement, and campaign planning, experience that strengthens Millsaps’ efforts to grow philanthropic investment and broaden community support.
Her dedication to this work is also deeply personal. As a former scholarship recipient and Yellow Ribbon student at Millsaps, MacDonald understands the transformational power of donor generosity. Her own experience continues to inspire her commitment to giving back to the college.
“We’re excited to welcome Chandler into the Major Gifts Officer role,” said Kathleen Terry-Sharp, vice president of Institutional Advancement. “Her advancement background, strong analytical mindset and ability to build genuine relationships make her an outstanding fit. Chandler’s personal connection to Millsaps and her understanding of the impact philanthropy can have on students bring a valuable perspective to her work with donors. Major gifts are essential to the College’s future, and Chandler is exceptionally well prepared to help lead this effort.”
