Mancuso Chemicals

International chemical manufacturer Mancuso Chemicals Limited is launching operations in Pachuta, Mississippi, marking a significant milestone with a $5.52 million investment and the creation of 17 new jobs. The move marks the Canadian company’s first facility in the United States.

Based in Canada, Mancuso Chemicals is a research-driven manufacturer of high-end industrial chemical products that support industries such as metalworking, oil-based paints, automotive fluids, and phenolic resins. The company operates globally, with existing locations in Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru.

To enhance its service to clients in the Southern U.S., Mancuso Chemicals is opening a logistics distribution center in Pachuta. The center will serve as a hub for importing products from the company’s Canadian and Peruvian facilities. According to company officials, future plans include expanding the site to include manufacturing operations and broadening the company’s footprint into the Mexican market.

Governor Tate Reeves praised the investment as a win for Mississippi and Clarke County. “The Mississippi Momentum is real, and not only does it show no signs of slowing down, it’s picking up speed,” Reeves said. “Mancuso Chemicals has chosen to invest in our state and create new opportunities for the citizens of Clarke County, and that is certainly something to celebrate. We are a top state for doing business and have a strong drive to win. Each economic development success lets the world know something special is happening here.”

The Mississippi Development Authority is supporting the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. Additional support is coming from Clarke County and the Village of Pachuta.

“When companies are making site decisions, they’re thinking about speed, risk, cost and everything you can’t see on a spreadsheet,” said MDA Executive Director Bill Cork. “Mississippi delivers on all of it. We’re not just talking about progress—we’re proving it to the world, deal after deal. Mancuso Chemicals choosing Clarke County is one more example that Mississippi isn’t just some small state—we’re competitive, we’re aggressive and we know how to get deals done. This project brings jobs, tax revenue and momentum to a part of the state that’s ready to grow, and MDA is proud to help make it happen.”

For Mancuso Chemicals, the move is part of a long-term growth strategy. “It is with great pride that on our 40th anniversary I announce this major step in providing localized and direct support for our many customers throughout the United States,” said Antonio Mancuso, President of Mancuso Chemicals Ltd. “This fits with our corporate goal of providing increased support to the industries we supply across all of North and South America. This strategic investment and long-term commitment to developing the site in Mississippi was made easier by the clear support that the state and county showed to welcoming us to this area. We intend to make use of the impressive local infrastructure available to help us efficiently move our products in and out of the state and to become a respected part of the local business community. Our slogan of Northern Chemistry. Global Reach. Universal Responsibilities. takes a giant step forward with this announcement.”

Local leaders in Clarke County are also celebrating the decision. “On behalf of the Clarke County Board of Supervisors, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mancuso Chemicals for choosing Clarke County, Mississippi, as the location of their first facility in the United States,” said Board of Supervisors President Lorenzo Carter. “We recognize that the company had many options available, and we are genuinely honored and excited by your decision to invest in the Village of Pachuta.”

Mancuso Chemicals plans to complete the project and fill the new positions over the next five years.
