Families at Brandon Baptist Church will gather on Sunday, November 9th, for their annual Shoebox Packing Party, a meaningful event dedicated to supporting Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child ministry, which delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children around the world.
Every year, the Shoebox Packing Party provides a fun, family-friendly experience with activities that include packing items such as school supplies, personal care items, toys, and notes for shoeboxes, along with music, refreshments, and activities for kids. Church leaders highlight that the event is open to everyone in the community, regardless of church affiliation, and they encourage neighbors to join in the spirit of giving.
This year, volunteers throughout Central Mississippi aim to collect over 20,000 shoeboxes as part of the worldwide effort to reach 12 million children. Each shoebox is more than just a gift—it’s a chance to share the Gospel and bring happiness to a child who might have never received a present before.
