Global electronic manufacturing services provider Keytronic is expanding its operations in Corinth through an $8.89 million investment that will create 376 new jobs in Alcorn County.
The expansion will strengthen the company’s existing manufacturing presence in Corinth, where it currently employs approximately 420 workers. The project includes rehabilitation of the facility, including roof renovations, and the addition of new electronics and final assembly production lines to support increased demand from recently awarded customer contracts.
Keytronic designs and manufactures complex electronic and electromechanical products for customers across a variety of industries. The Corinth facility serves as a full-service operation with capabilities that include electronics assembly, final assembly, product fulfillment, warehousing and distribution.
Gov. Tate Reeves praised the company’s continued investment in Mississippi.
“For more than a decade, Keytronic has helped create opportunities for families in Alcorn County, and this expansion proves they see even more potential ahead,” Reeves said. “Companies remain where they can compete and grow, and our workforce gives Keytronic the talent it needs to succeed in Corinth. The company’s latest investment means more jobs, more opportunities and a stronger future for the surrounding region. I appreciate the Keytronic team for their continued confidence in Mississippi.”
The Mississippi Development Authority is supporting the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. Additional assistance is being provided by Alcorn County, the Tennessee Valley Authority and AccelerateMS.
Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork said the expansion highlights the state’s business-friendly environment.
“Keytronic’s continued growth in Corinth is a strong vote of confidence in Mississippi,” Cork said. “Companies invest where they know they can move quickly, find the support they need and achieve results. That’s exactly what our team and local partners work to deliver every day. When companies are ready to grow, Mississippi is ready to help them get it done.”
Keytronic President and CEO Brett Larsen said the company is committed to both its employees and the Corinth community.
“We are very excited to expand our operations in Corinth,” Larsen said. “We have an incredible and dedicated team that we consider our extended family. We look forward to continuing our long and mutually beneficial relationship with the community of Corinth and the state of Mississippi.”
Local and regional economic development leaders also welcomed the announcement.
“The Alliance is grateful to Keytronic for their decision to expand in Alcorn County,” said GT McCullough, president of The Alliance. “Upon completion, this expansion will inject over $20 million in new annual payroll to our local economy, which we applaud. Thank you Governor Tate Reeves, the Mississippi Development Authority, AccelerateMS, the Tennessee Valley Authority, ACE Power and the Alcorn County Supervisors for working together to ensure the success of this project.”
Heidi Smith, vice president of economic development for the Tennessee Valley Authority, said the project demonstrates the value of partnerships in supporting business growth.
“TVA and Alcorn County Electric Power Association congratulate Keytronic on its decision to expand operations in Alcorn County,” Smith said. “We’re proud to work alongside Mississippi Development Authority, The Alliance and Alcorn County to support companies like Keytronic as they make continued investments in our region. Together, we are powering growth throughout the Valley, and we look forward to Keytronic’s continued success here.”
The Corinth facility originally opened in 1961 and has operated under the Keytronic name since 2014. Company officials said the expansion will help meet growing customer demand while reinforcing Keytronic’s long-term commitment to northeast Mississippi.
