Dr. Clyde Muse
Hinds Community College President Emeritus Dr. Clyde Muse’s 95th birthday on Christmas Day will be celebrated with a special event on Dec. 13 at Eagle Ridge Conference Center.
The receiving line will begin in the Eagle Ridge Conference Center lobby at 9 a.m., which will be decorated for Christmas. Guests can enjoy light refreshments as they are visiting with Dr. Muse. At 10 a.m. a ticketed brunch on the first floor will include a buffet meal plus a short program honoring Dr. Muse.
Tickets for the brunch will be $95 with the proceeds going to the Muse Legacy Fund through the Hinds Community College Foundation and will support students and employees as well as a number of community projects dear to Dr. Muse’s heart. Ticket sales are limited to 140.

The Muse Legacy Fund was established by friends and colleagues of Dr. Muse as he approached his retirement in June 2020. He had been president of Hinds Community College for 42 years at the time of his retirement. Current President Dr. Stephen Vacik replaced him on July 1, 2020.
