GameChanger, the leading youth sports app known for its live streaming, scheduling, and scorekeeping capabilities, has teamed up with Major League Baseball to debut a compelling new mini-series. Titled The Prospect, the three-part documentary highlights one of the most remarkable stories in this year’s MLB Draft class and premieres today, July 7, on MLB Network’s MLB Central, with additional airings scheduled for MLB Tonight and GameChanger’s YouTube channel.

Produced in collaboration with MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning production team and QB1 Studios, the series centers on JoJo and Jacob Parker, twin brothers from Purvis, Mississippi, whose baseball dreams are grounded in faith, family, and the quiet strength of their father, Joseph “Jop” Parker. Jop’s story is at the heart of the series—his life took a dramatic turn after a spinal cord injury in high school left him paralyzed. Despite the challenges, he built a life marked by purpose and resilience, becoming a husband, a father, and a judge.

That unwavering determination became the foundation for his sons’ own pursuit of excellence on the diamond. JoJo Parker, a slick-fielding shortstop, enters the 2025 MLB Draft ranked No. 9 by MLB Pipeline. His twin brother Jacob, a powerful outfielder, is ranked No. 109. Together, they have become two of the most highly anticipated prospects in this year’s class.

The Prospect offers an intimate look at their upbringing in small-town Mississippi, the pivotal role of their father’s guidance, and the challenges they’ve overcome to reach this point. Their journey culminates as they await their names to be called during the MLB Draft, presented by Nike, set for Sunday, July 13, during MLB’s All-Star Week in Atlanta.

With a powerful narrative and emotional depth, The Prospect adds a personal dimension to this year’s draft season, offering fans a glimpse into the character behind the talent.
