Emmanuel Osire, a former recipient of a gift-filled shoebox from the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, is coming to Jackson to share his powerful testimony of hope and transformation.

As a child growing up in challenging circumstances, Emmanuel received a shoebox packed with toys, school supplies, and personal care items. That simple gift became a turning point in his life. Today, he travels the world to inspire others with his story and encourage communities to continue packing shoeboxes for children in need.

This year, volunteers across Central Mississippi aim to collect more than 20,000 shoeboxes as part of the global goal to reach 12 million children. Each shoebox is not only a gift—it’s an opportunity to share the Gospel and bring joy to a child who may have never received a present before.

Emmanuel will be available for interviews in the studio or on location during his brief visit to Jackson. Media outlets are invited to schedule time to speak with him and help share his inspiring message with the community.
