A ribbon-cutting with the city of Flowood at 1:30 pm starts the festivities and partygoers will have a chance to win art and gift cards, there will be special deals, free art lessons, gallery artists to meet and and attendees will be treated to cake and charcutier at the gallery’s Flowood, Mississippi location, in the Dogwood area next to Kohl’s at 310 Ridge Way.

Pacesetter’s doors opened in July 2021, with 35 Mississippi artists and artisans, growing to a current roster of 66 artists. The gallery has set the pace for the arts in Mississippi with a driving mission to support local artists by providing original Mississippi-made art, unique art gifts and offering creative experiences. From emerging artists to long-established and highly acclaimed artists, the gallery focuses on making art accessible with a memorable, relaxing gallery experience and providing art to elevate your home or office. Pottery, glass, jewelry, candles, textiles and sculptures, in addition to fine art from all across the state, allows shoppers a wide variety and a unique, inspiring experience.

Keri Davis, Pacesetter Gallery owner and artist, said, “Over the last 5 years we have provided opportunities for over 500 artists to have work sold and placed in prominent places from commercial and residential spaces and we curated the permanent collection of eleven Mississippi Welcome Centers. We have held over 800 events from plein air painting competitions, paint and sips, workshops, lessons, poetry and music-connected art events, and more, all supporting the arts and our community. I really feel a calling to use my God-given gifts to support Mississippi artists. Mississippi is full of talented, visual storytellers. We need to support them and train up the next generation of artists. Applying this mission to everything I do has grown Pacesetter Gallery to the blessing it is today and I am excited to continue providing fine art to Mississippians, travelers and collectors from across the nation.” A professional artist herself, Keri Davis draws on her studio art and art education degree and over 30 years of teaching art to help reach this goal.

Pacesetter aspires to be a catalyst for the arts in Mississippi and a hub for cultural arts that propels tourism growth, bringing tourism dollars into Flowood and the state. The gallery is open 24/7 virtually at pacesettergallery.com with a cutting-edge website that combines art sales with stories of Mississippi art and artists, bringing more exposure. True to it’s name, the gallery is setting the pace for Mississippi art and has been featured in Elle Décor, Delta Magazine, Mississippi Magazine and Stages Mississippi and regularly featured on television.

Davis has collaborated with the Mississippi Arts Commission, public and home schools and colleges, local businesses and art organizations across the state. She created the “Wild Wonders: Painting Natural Mississippi” live animal painting classes partnering with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, and has spearheaded four plein air painting competitions by partnering with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, Renaissance at Colony Park, and the City of Flowood. The competitions bring artists together to create work live and visitors can purchase artwork they have watched come to life. Since 2024, Pacesetter Gallery has curated a collection of art at the Sheraton Missy Sippi Rooftop Lounge that allows travelers and locals to purchase art from the collection to take home or be shipped for free, making it easy to provide Mississippi art.

Additionally, the gallery is currently hosting summer camps through July and workshops for beginner through advanced levels, small group classes and special “paint and sip” events that are part art, part party for individuals, conferences and small group tours, and regularly hosts customized events for groups up to 50.

Local businesses like Table 100, Pyron Group, Neblett’s Framing, Community Bank and Basil’s Killer Eats, have joined Keri in her vision, adding their sponsorship to events and Pacesetter Gallery also partners with Herrin-Gear Automotive Group and Watkins Construction through the HG Cares program ‘Paint with Purpose’ donating proceeds of the paint and sip back to the featured non-profit, focusing on bringing businesses and community together to grow local support for local community needs.

Pacesetter Gallery is open Monday through Wednesday 10 am – 6 pm, Thursday through Saturday 10 am – 7 pm with inspiring new art, unique gifts and events weekly.
