Amazon is further expanding its footprint in Mississippi with the establishment of a new inbound cross-dock operation in Marshall County. This significant investment is projected to generate 1,000 new job opportunities for the region.
The company will construct a 930,000-square-foot facility within the Chickasaw Trails Industrial Park. This facility will serve as a hub for receiving and consolidating products from vendors, which will then be shipped to Amazon’s fulfillment centers in the surrounding areas.
The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is playing a crucial role in facilitating this project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive (MFLEX) program. Additionally, the MDA is providing assistance with essential road improvements to support the new facility. Marshall County is also partnering in this economic development initiative. Amazon anticipates a three-year timeline to complete the construction and fill the newly created positions.

This latest investment underscores Mississippi’s growing prominence as a key player in the national supply chain and highlights the state’s ability to attract and support major corporations.
