ALO, a fashion and lifestyle brand known for premium athletic apparel and studio-to-streetwear rooted in mind-body wellness, is establishing a national fulfillment and distribution center in Southaven, bringing nearly $176 million in corporate investment and more than 400 new jobs to DeSoto County.

The company will occupy up to 1.2 million square feet in an existing building for the operation, with the option to add returns processing services at the facility. ALO expects to begin operations in August 2026 and plans to fill the new positions by 2027.

Gov. Tate Reeves said the investment highlights Mississippi’s strengths in logistics and distribution while creating new economic opportunities for residents.

“One of the things Mississippi does exceptionally well is logistics, so this investment makes a lot of sense for our state and the company,” Reeves said. “ALO could’ve picked anywhere to locate its national fulfillment center, and it chose DeSoto County.”

Reeves said the project’s investment and job creation will benefit families and contribute to the region’s economy.

The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, known as MFLEX. DeSoto County and the city of Southaven are also assisting with the project.

Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director PJ Waldrop said Southaven offers the transportation access, workforce and operational capacity needed to support a national distribution network.

“In distribution, reach matters, and Southaven delivers it,” Waldrop said. “ALO will have the transportation access, workforce and capacity to move products quickly to customers across the country.”

Waldrop said the company’s decision to locate its national operation in DeSoto County reinforces North Mississippi’s role as a logistics and distribution hub.

ALO Co-President Norm Hullinger said the new facility will help the company serve customers nationwide while supporting its continued growth.

“ALO is pleased to expand our operations in Mississippi with a state-of-the-art fulfillment and distribution center that will help us serve customers across the country with seamless delivery,” Hullinger said.

The company plans to create more than 400 jobs when the facility opens, with additional hiring expected during the holiday season. Hullinger said ALO looks forward to becoming part of the Southaven community.

Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite said the project reflects the city’s ability to attract businesses seeking efficient access to regional and national markets.

“We’re on fire, in a great way, as a city right now in attracting new development because Southaven can check every box for companies looking to improve their efficiency and effectiveness in getting their products to consumers both regionally and nationally,” Musselwhite said.

Musselwhite said the city’s resources and amenities also help make it an attractive location for growing companies.

He described ALO as a strong match for Southaven and said the project’s nearly $176 million in capital investment and more than 400 jobs will provide a significant boost to the local economy.

The fulfillment and distribution center adds to Southaven’s economic development activity and strengthens the city’s position as a location for companies serving customers throughout the country.
