Stone County’s Cultivation Nation Triathlon is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year (2024). The community-driven event, scheduled for August 31, 2024 at Flint Creek Water Park, aims to bring together and challenge athletes of all levels from across the Southeast region.
Participants will endure a 17-mile bike ride along scenic routes, a 600-yard swim through fresh waters, and a 3.1-mile run through charming local areas—all for a great cause. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Stone County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Stone County SPCA).
Whether attendees are experienced triathletes or visitors looking for adventure, Cultivation Nation also offers the opportunity to uncover the hidden gems that await in Stone County all weekend (or all week!) long.
To register, those interested can visit Cultivation Nation Triathlon Registration.
Race Director Brandy Maulden shared, “As both a triathlete and race director, my goal is to give fellow athletes the chance to enjoy this beautiful venue and have an incredible race experience. There’s nothing like waking up early and giving it your all. The sense of accomplishment when you cross that finish line makes all the challenges worthwhile. I hope every triathlete participating in Cultivation Nation can see the effort my team and I put into creating an amazing race, whether they’re beginners or seasoned athletes. We want everyone to experience this beautiful place and feel the big southern charm of our small town.”
