Jason McNeil, Chief Financial Officer of Singing River Health System, has been recognized for the second consecutive year as one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s 180 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know. The national recognition highlights McNeil’s exceptional leadership and contributions to advancing the financial strength of the health system.

McNeil has led Singing River through a remarkable financial turnaround, strengthening the organization’s financial performance by reducing claim denials, accelerating collections, and improving cash-on-hand. By transitioning the health system to Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) 340B status and increasing its Medicare wage index, he helped secure millions in additional reimbursements that supported capital investments and expanded access to care.

Most recently, McNeil helped establish a partnership with R1, a national leader in revenue cycle management, making Singing River one of the first health systems in the nation to collaborate on the implementation and co-development of its AI-powered R37 platform. The partnership is expected to further streamline revenue cycle operations while improving patient experience. McNeil has also implemented advanced financial controls, mentored emerging leaders, and championed strategic decision-making. He serves as treasurer of the Singing River Foundation and holds board positions with several regional organizations.
