With just two weeks to go and advance ticket sales running strong, the sixth annual Mighty Roots Music Festival returns Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26, 2026, to historic Stovall Farms near Clarksdale, Mississippi. The weekend brings 12 bands, 5 food trucks, 4 bars, 3 stages, 1 late-night jam session and the festival’s signature burning guitar to the place where bluesman Muddy Waters grew up and was first recorded.

Saturday night is headlined by St. Paul & The Broken Bones, with Oxford-born regional favorite Happy Landing in the featured spot. Saturday’s lineup also includes Pothole Paradise, Board of Directors, Perfect Friend and Jack Fortune, followed by a late-night set from Memphis favorite Jombi and a late-late jam session with Mississippi blues master Terry “Big T” Williams.
Friday celebrates the Delta harvest with headliner Tobacco Road, along with Ozark Riviera, The Great Dying and Crooked Diehl. Friday afternoon, the festival will again host Delta Council’s Future Delta group of young farmers, agriculturalists and agribusiness professionals in the historic Stovall Gin Company building. Mighty Friday is presented by Delta Ag Equipment of Cleveland, Mississippi.
Mighty Roots is also pleased to welcome Core Cycle and Outdoor as the new sponsor of the Mighty Levee Gravel Ride. Designed for riders of all levels, the ride features a 12-mile course on the Mississippi River levee – the only day of the year cyclists are legally permitted to ride this section of the levee. The ride is set for Saturday morning September 26, so riders can roll right into the festival afterwards!
Festival Saturday continues with Delta Yoga Studio’s Mimosas on the Mat session at noon featuring live music and a celebratory glass of bubbly. The Delta Artists Market will showcase a curated selection of regional painting, sculpture, photography, food and handmade items, while the Kids Zone returns with a bouncy house, petting zoo, face painting and more. Children under 10 are admitted free.
At midnight Saturday, the Incineration of the Mighty Wooden Guitar will celebrate the 2026 festival at the Stovall Store. (This year’s guitar will be built by master carpenter Bob Morse and Bill Morse of Boston, MA.) Food trucks including Doe’s Eat Place and Gourmet Blaze will be on site throughout the weekend, along with full bar service and specialty drinks that remain available during the late-night stages.
The festival’s camping community continues to grow, with primitive campsites, van sites, full-service RV sites and RV boondocking options available. Strong ticket sales are pointing toward a lively sixth-year celebration, and festivalgoers are encouraged to secure tickets, lodging and camping plans in advance.
