SIP Manufacturing, a third-party beverage co-packer, is expanding into Mississippi with a new operation in Southaven, bringing a corporate investment of more than $100 million and creating 187 jobs in DeSoto County.
The company, which provides contract beverage manufacturing and co-packing services, supports customers through every stage of production, from product development to shipment. SIP Manufacturing specializes in aluminum canning, PET bottle and aluminum bottle packaging, producing a variety of beverages, including flavored waters, energy drinks and hard seltzers.
Gov. Tate Reeves said the project reflects Mississippi’s continued efforts to attract business investment while creating employment opportunities for residents.
“Every new job is an opportunity for a Mississippi family to build a better future, and SIP Manufacturing’s $100 million investment will create nearly 200 of those opportunities in DeSoto County,” Reeves said. “We’ve stayed focused on helping companies grow and giving Mississippians new pathways to good careers. I’m glad SIP Manufacturing has chosen to grow in Mississippi and become part of our state’s historic success.”
SIP Manufacturing will operate from an existing building in Southaven, where the company will produce, package and ship finished beverages to distribution centers and customers nationwide.
The Southaven facility is designed to accommodate a wide range of beverage manufacturing and packaging needs, allowing the company to produce multiple beverage types while serving customers across various market segments.
Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork said the state’s business-friendly environment helped secure the investment.
“SIP Manufacturing needed a location that could support its next phase of growth, and Mississippi delivered,” Cork said. “From site selection to startup, our team works alongside companies to solve challenges and keep projects moving. That’s what sets Mississippi apart and keeps companies like SIP Manufacturing investing and reinvesting in communities across our state.”
SIP Manufacturing 2.0 LLC CEO Chas Aday said the expansion marks a significant milestone for the company’s continued growth.
“Our expansion into Southaven represents an exciting new chapter for SIP Manufacturing 2.0 LLC,” Aday said. “This facility allows us to better serve our customers, expand our capabilities and continue investing in the people and partnerships that have fueled our growth. We’re grateful for the warm welcome from the State of Mississippi, the City of Southaven and DeSoto County, and we look forward to becoming a long-term member of this community.”
The Mississippi Development Authority is supporting the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. The City of Southaven and DeSoto County also are providing assistance for the expansion.
Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite welcomed the company, calling the investment a major boost for the city’s economy.
“We’re proud to welcome SIP Manufacturing to Southaven,” Musselwhite said. “Their large capital investment and creation of significant workforce opportunities will make a difference in our city. Their tremendous market momentum will be further accelerated by this Southaven relocation, and our city will prove to be a great new home for SIP.”
Musselwhite added that he looks forward to watching the company’s continued success in Southaven.
DeSoto County District 4 Supervisor Lee Caldwell said the project demonstrates the county’s commitment to fostering economic growth.
“DeSoto County has worked hard to create an environment where businesses can succeed,” Caldwell said. “When businesses succeed, our residents succeed, and our entire community benefits. We’re proud to welcome SIP Manufacturing and look forward to the jobs and opportunities this investment will create.”
SIP Manufacturing’s new Southaven operation adds to Mississippi’s growing manufacturing sector and is expected to strengthen the region’s position as a hub for advanced food and beverage production.
